Date: November 23–30, 2025
Location: Hotel Jardín Tecina · Tenerife
Organizer: Apollo
Category: Health and Culture
Led by: Annabel Guaita (pianist and Listeners’ Guide) and Piotr Marcinów (meditation teacher)
On this journey, you will have the opportunity to come home to your body, listen with your whole being, and discover how music can open inner doors – to presence, breath, and insight.
Through six musical gatherings, guided meditation, and classical works by, among others, Bach, Grieg, and Debussy, you are invited to listen – not just with your ears, but with your body and senses.
No prior experience with music or meditation is required – only a desire to slow down and be present with what is yours.
The nature and stillness of beautiful La Gomera support you in restoring yourself and finding balance – in both body and mind.
🌿 PROGRAM · The Breath of Music – A Journey Inward
Our gatherings are a unique combination of six different classical piano pieces, meditation, and deep listening. The goal is to help you become fully present in body and mind – so you can surrender completely to the music.
🎶 Structure of a session (approx. 2 hours including a break):
Welcome and Introduction (approx. 10 min)
We begin by listening to the entire piece once – a first, open encounter with the music.Meditation (approx. 20 min)
Together with Piotr as your guide, we enter into meditative practices that promote calm, openness, and receptivity. This creates a steady space for deep listening.Guided Listening (approx. 30 min + 15 min break + 20 min)
We listen to the piece again – this time with Annabel as your Listeners’ Guide. You’ll be led into a deeper listening experience, opening up to phenomenological listening: How does the music feel – in the body, the mind, and the senses – right now? You're welcome to share your experience, but silent listening is just as welcome.Closing with Music (approx. 10 min)
Finally, we listen to the piece once more. After meditation and deep listening, you may hear and feel it in an entirely new way.
🎼 Music we will explore is composed by:
Johann Sebastian Bach
Ludwig van Beethoven
Claude Debussy
Edvard Grieg
Arvo Pärt
Geirr Tveitt
💛 Meditation with the Qualities of the Heart
The meditations led by Piotr are inspired by the Brahmaviharas – the four heart qualities in the Buddhist tradition:
Loving-kindness: Wishing others well, without conditions
Compassion: Meeting pain with care
Joy: Recognizing and celebrating the joy of others
Equanimity: Staying steady amid life’s waves
These qualities – together with the music – create space for self-care, presence, and deeper connection with yourself and others.
Piotr Marcinów is originally from Poland but has made his home in Bergen, Norway. With a master’s degree in philosophy – focusing especially on Eastern traditions – and over 30 years of experience in yoga and meditation, he has developed a deep understanding of the mind-body connection.
In addition to his work as a meditation teacher, Piotr is also a trained muscle therapist. This hands-on approach complements his holistic work in stress management and personal development, helping people release physical tension and reconnect with their bodies.
He is known as a warm and grounded guide who supports people in finding balance, clarity, and insight in their lives.
